Many of our guests have been coming to our campsite for years, because they can relax here. BOOK NOW CHECK AVAILABILITY BLOG Enjoyable swimming for the whole family in our refreshing natural swimming lake As a special extra, our overnight guests can enjoy a modern natural swimming pond. What makes our pond unique is its method of water treatment. We avoid using chemicals or chlorine – instead, the water is treated naturally according to the latest ecological standards. A balanced system with special gravel substrates, dedicated plant filters, and modern pump technology ensures excellent water quality that meets high hygiene standards. The natural swimming pond combines clear, clean water that doesn't sting your eyes with the comfort of a familiar swimming pool. Good to know: In a nature-based swimming pond, microorganisms take over the job of purification. As part of this natural process, you may notice a thin, slippery layer – called biofilm – on the walls or floor. This is completely normal, harmless to health, and a sign that the ecosystem is in balance. Please note: The pond is operated naturally and is not heated – refreshing swimming in its purest form! The water depth in the swimming area is a maximum of 1.35 m, with a length of 21 m, making the pond suitable even for sporty swimmers. Along the shores, several separate plant zones offer the chance to observe nature up close. With a bit of luck, you might spot colorful dragonflies, beautiful blossoms, or even the occasional amphibian taking refuge in these areas. This nature-friendly facility with its high recreational and experiential value blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. Right by the dike, you'll find a lovely bathing spot with a small sandy beach. You can relax here and swim in the North Sea, depending on the tide, within the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. If you're planning a day trip to St. Peter-Ording, you can enjoy one of the largest sandy beaches on the North Sea coast. In Husum and St. Peter-Ording, you'll also find public indoor pools for rainy or colder days. Bathing rules for our swimming lake Please take note that you bath at your own risk, there is no bathing supervision. In order to guarantee bathing quality, there are following rules: Children only accompanied by their parents! Please have a shower before bathing! The consumption of food is not allowed! Objects made of glass are forbidden! Smoking is not permitted! Bicycles are unwanted in the swimming area! Dogs are not allowed! Do not enter the regeneration area and bank zone! Do not bath with infectious diseases, wounds or rashes! Access to the swimming pool only by pool ladder! Babies have to wear bathing trunks or swim nappies! There is danger of slipping on wet boardwalks and stones! Boardwalks may only be entered barefoot! Please dispose of your waste in the waste containers! The reservation of the loungers is allowed for a maximum of 30 minutes! Note The water is not cleaned with disinfectants, but via natural regeneration areas and plant filters. Because of no disinfection of the bathing water, an increased risk for human health caused by pathogens can not be excluded. This risk increases with the increase of bathing activity.

Our service is designed to meet the needs of our small and large guests. You want to become part of a strong and motivated team? Have fun at work, even on weekends and holidays? Then you could fit us. Considering your individual qualifications and strengths, you take on interesting and varied tasks in which you can use your skills. Supported by regular training courses, we assign at least two positions to our employees to be able to respond more flexible to the needs of our guests. In dealing with our guests and in the team we place greatest importance on friendliness, conscientiousness, cleanliness and organization. The management is the local contact for you and personally guides you through the allday workflow. We provide health-saving workplaces, well-maintained office equipment and optimal working tools for you. In addition to one free day per week, we offer an attractive working environment. For example, you can choose between a variety of free drinks during your breaks, which are in line with the statutory regulations. Salaries are always paid on time, before the end of the month.
